This month, we dedicated time and effort to explaining what we are going to do and for who it is. But behind each event, tournament or campaign, we have a WHY? Why we are doing it, giving out effort, resources and time. These tournaments will gather young people on a local level, for 4 -6 month into the persuit of activism, equity, teamwork and fun. We do what we do for the society and this time - we give out to young people - to fill the spirit of inclusivity, to work in a team and develop teamwork skills, their creativity and have fun at the sports tournament. We believe in the skills of young people and want to give the opportunity for them to be part of something unique at our local scenes!

Lastly, we have the Local Award Ceremonies. Each tournament has a finish line and a winner. Winners will be announced by the partner and prizes will be given to 3-1 places! Campaigns, described in the previous post, will also get their nomination for winners and each partner will announce their winning team at a special award ceremony! You know how a tournament goes - medal for third and second place, and a trophy for the first. Same for the Campaign. Here, we have things more creative ;). Each partner may prepare for the participants special prizes! And the grand prize, given to selected people from each country is......... trip to Palermo, Italy, all travel and accommodation expenses covered! We kept you waiting long enough for this exciting opportunity. Few young people will be welcomed to the capital of Sicily in 2027. So if we haven't had your attention till now - you better go few posts back and reread all requirements - you may be going to Palermo next year. 😉

As we mentioned (but you may have forgotten) our ideas don't end with just the sport. We like to include a touch of creativity, activism and sportmanship outside the court. Our activity "Extra Time" is all about that! Each team that competes in the Tournament has the opportunity to compete (and collaborate) on the We Blow the Whistle Campaigns. During the 6 months (Oct 26 -Feb 27 inc) period each team will be creating online campaings, will conduct interviews on a selected inclusive topic, create photoshoots or any other type of campaign they choose. Teams will be supported throughout the process by the respective partner and motivated by the team spirit and the prize at the end (stay tuned for the next post 😉 ). The second part of this exciting package is the Tournament itself. What sport we've chosen you're asking? We are all about being liberal, so each partner is to choose the sport they connect with the most. Tournaments run from Sept 2026 till Jan 2027 and by that time - we will have our local winners!

As promised, let's dive into each part of the package, to get a better taste of what has started. During the first phase of the package, each organisation is recruiting around 60 participants (13-30 yo) to take part in the tournaments and campaigns. All people in the age range are welcomed! All partners have kick-started the planning phase - reaching out to trainers. athletes and curious young minds! Venues are contacted, logistics are tackled and prizes are being prepared!! The Local tournaments package unfolds into 4 activities - following a logical continuation. We will present you each of them separately in the upcoming month, but to get excited as much as we are, here is a quick sneak peek! Firstly, each partner will be recruiting around 60 participants (13-30 yo) for their tournament and campaigns (you can get in there, too, so keep a look at the partners' social media 🙂 ). Each partner will carefully plan all details around them. After all participants are collected and logistics - set, the tournaments will be organised. Almost at the same time, the We Blow the Whistle Campaigns will be launched! Each team will have the chance to create campaigns in the spirit of the project. Last, but certainly not least - Awards Time! Each partner will hold Local Award Ceremonies - prizes will be given and a special prize will be announced (for those that like to travel)! Hope to have you on board by now!
